| Summary: | Drawing on a constant of the Church of antiquity which always emphasizes the strong bond between the bishop and his deacons, the author proposes to see the deacon as the one who is in charge of bringing the communion experienced at the Sunday Eucharist to those who have not been able to enjoy it. This perspective makes it possible to interpret the diaconate as a ministry of the (re)beginning of the preaching of the Gospel, which distinguishes it from the episcopate and the presbyteral ministry which are rather on the side of the accomplishment of the latter, when the reunion of all in Christ, in his Passover, is celebrated. En s’appuyant sur une constante de l’Eglise de l’Antiquité qui toujours souligne le lien fort entre l’évêque et ses diacres, l’auteur propose de voir le diacre comme celui qui est chargé de porter la communion vécue lors de l’eucharistie dominicale, à ceux qui n’ont pas pu en bénéficier. Cette perspective permet d’interpréter le diaconat comme ministère du (re)commencement de la prédication évangélique, ce qui le spécifie par rapport à l’épiscopat - et au ministère presbytéral - qui sont plutôt du côté de l’accomplissement de celle-ci, lorsque l’on peut célébrer les retrouvailles de tous, en Christ, en sa Pâque. |
