Thereby the fulfilment of the promise concerned with a non-remembering of failures, leading to an amnesty-like remission of sins for the people of the new covenant, is demonstrated (Jer 38:34bß [LXX]). Furthermore, the said author argues that the promise concerned with God's mercy with regard to transgressions (Jer 38:34bα [LXX]) finds its fulfilment in the eternal intercession of the high priest, Christ. | ||
