It seems that in such a reading the references to the Christ-event function like the so called musical 'basso ostinato' which can be applied as the melody, binding the three acts of the Apocalypse together as a unity. In such a way the designation of the descriptionption of the Christ-event as a 'basso ostinato' leads the exegete to a fresh view on the unity of the text of the Apocalypse of John. | ||
