AB Der vorliegende Band behandelt interdisziplinär die Frage der Leiblichkeit des Menschen, die in den klassischen Positionen der Philosophie und Theologie nur marginal Beachtung fand. Dieser Umstand wird erstens thematisch und kritisch reflektiert, zweitens die Bedeutung des Leibes und der Leiblichkeit aus unterschiedlichen Fachdisziplinen hervorgehoben, um drittens dann – in kritischer Anlehnung an phänomenologische und ästhetische Perspektiven – die Dringlichkeit der Frage nach der Leiblichkeit menschlicher Existenz ins Feld zu führen. Dabei kommen prominente Stimmen aus der Philosophie, der Theologie und den Kulturwissenschaften dialogisch zu Wort. AB This volume deals with the question of the body and corporeality in an interdisciplinary way. The classical positions of philosophy and theology have treated the question of the human body merely marginally. In this volume, this circumstance is firstly reflected on thematically and critically; secondly, the importance of the body and corporeality is emphasised from the perspectives of different disciplines; and finally, in critical reference to phenomenological and aesthetic perspectives, the urgency of the question of the corporeality of human existence is addressed. This volume also assembles essays by internationally renowned scholars from philosophy, theology and cultural studies, who intend to raise new questions concerning the topic of the body and corporeality.
