Pour saisir le sens de ces mots et identifier ces « passions », les versets seront présentés et contextualisés après un survol de la notion de crainte dans certains écrits bibliques et hellénistiques. Ainsi, on comprendra mieux qu’il est toujours question de la crainte de Dieu. | ||

Yet the word φόϐος only appears six times (1:24 ; 3:25 ; 6:30 ; 7:29 ; 12:22 and 15:18), compared to three occurrences of ἀγωνία (3:14.16 and 21) and five of δέος (3:17.30 ;12:22 ;13:16 and 15:23). In order to grasp the meaning of these words and identify these "passions", the verses will be presented and contextualized after an overview of the fear’s notion in some biblical and Hellenistic writings. This way, it will be easier to understand that it is always the same fear of God. | ||
