| Zusammenfassung: | The present article examines the series of seventeen sermons on Psalm 90 Qui habitat that Bernard of Clairvaux preached throughout the liturgical time of Lent (1139). We can detect the outline of a theology of predication that envisions the responsibility of the abbey as a purely instrumental ministry, at the service of God and of the monastic community, and considers preaching as a simple epiphany of the word of God. Bernard articulates a real reflection on monastic life, that he develops by drawing upon the biblical themes of « weight » and « burden ». For the abbot of Clairvaux « true philosophy »reveals Lent as the sacrament of monastic life. L’article étudie la série des dix-sept sermons sur le Psaume 90 Qui habitat prêchés par Bernard de Clairvaux lors du temps liturgique de Carême (1139). On peut y trouver les linéaments d’une théologie de la prédication qui fait de la charge abbatiale un ministère, purement instrumental, à la disposition de Dieu et de la communauté monastique, et de la prédication une simple épiphanie de la parole de Dieu. Bernard propose également une vraie réflexion sur la vie monastique qu’il développe en recourant aux thèmes bibliques du « poids » et du « fardeau ». Pour l’abbé de Clairvaux, la « vraie philosophie » fait reconnaître dans le Carême le sacrement de la vie monastique. |
