The space of meaning opened up by this revolutionary breakthrough is then examined on the basis of the opposed orientations of Weil and Levinas : the fact of the real presence for the former, the test of absent transcendence for the latter. To conclude, we ask whether these two discourses are doomed to a reciprocal misapprehension or whether it isn’t possible to sketch the framework of a dialogue between them which draws support from the intrigues that they weave, respectively, between concrete and formal meanings on the one hand, and between the speech of proximity and the spoken of rationality on the other. | ||

L’espace du sens qui s’entrouvre à travers cette percée révolutionnaire est alors examiné à partir des orientations opposées de Weil et de Levinas : fait de la présence réelle pour le premier, épreuve de la transcendance absente pour le second. On se demande pour finir si ces deux discours sont voués à une méconnaissance réciproque ou s’il n’est pas possible d’esquisser entre eux une mise en dialogue qui s’appuie sur les intrigues qu’ils nouent respectivement entre les sens concrets et le sens formel d’un côté, entre le Dire de la proximité et les Dits de la rationalité de l’autre. | ||
