Gilson - think of Les Deux Sources, and shows how their perspective prevented them from appreciating its originality from the start. A critique of this false appreciation allows, a contrario, the draught of a better interpretation of Bergsonian philosophy of moral and religion in which the encounter between Bergsonism and Christianity is given just dues, encounter that happened through the central figure of “Christ of the Gospels’’, turning point and renewal of an entire book, not to say of an entire philosophy. | ||

On s’est penché dans le présent article sur les appréciations de trois auteurs catholiques parmi les plus pénétrants, A.-D. Sertillanges, É. Borne et É. Gilson, pour montrer comment la perspective qu’ils adoptèrent d’emblée sur les Deux Sources les avait empêchés d’en percevoir l’originalité. La critique de cette réception faussée permet a contrario d’ébaucher une herméneutique plus juste de la philosophie bergsonienne de la morale et de la religion où l’on fasse droit à la rencontre effective qui s’est alors produite entre bergsonisme et christianisme, à travers la figure centrale du « Christ des Évangiles », point de basculement et de renouvellement de tout un livre, si ce n’est même de toute une philosophie. | ||
