Paradoxically enough, it is John Rawls’ liberalism which, from that perspective, seems best placed to do justice to minorities, situated as it is between the legalism of a Jürgen Habermas and the multiculturalist positions of Charles Taylor and Will Kymlicka. These are the conceptual tensions analysed in this article, with a view to arriving at a new definition of tolerance. | ||
