Il met ainsi en lumière les quatre axes de cette polémique : argumentation contre les mitzvôt, conflit des interprétations de l'Écriture, thème théologique du « transfert d'Alliance », et griefs d'ordre historique. Quoi qu'il en soit de sa pertinence (souvent bien faible, et parfois nulle), cet argumentaire ne semble guère affecté par les soubresauts, tant internes qu'externes, que connaît l'Église du IIe siècle. Bien plus : dans ses grandes lignes, il se maintiendra sans changement pendant des siècles, constituant ainsi la matrice de ce qu'il faut bien appeler l'anti-judaïsme chrétien. The article summarizes as precisely as possible the different topics of polemic against Judaism found in Christian writings of the 2nd century, shedding light on the four axes of discord : arguments against the mitzvot, conflicts in interpreting Scripture, the theological question of the « tranfer of the Covenant » and complaints of an historical nature. This series of arguments, whatever its pertinence might have been (which was quite often weak, sometimes nil) seems virtually unscathed by the convulsions, internal as well as external that shook the Church of the 2nd century. More : for centuries the series remains unchanged in its main argumentation, establishing the matrix of what can only be called Christian antijudaism. | ||
