D'un premier ensemble constitué, de 1662 à 1667, par De l'Imitation, la Biblia sacra, les Psaumes et le Nouveau Testament dit de Mons, il présente les Psaumes, dont les cinq éditions port-royalistes (1666, [1674], 1689 (deux éditions), 1691) posent de nombreuses questions: — datation, — attribution (auteur et/ou éditeur), — approbations et approbateurs, — écrits complémentaires, — écrits nés de ces éditions, — problème de la traduction, selon l'hébreu et/ou selon la l'ulgate, — éditions diverses, — texte même, — notes courtes ou « grandes explications », — postérité. An essential chapter in the widely unknown history of French editions of the Catholic Bible consists of the scriptural publications of Port-Royal (1663-1800). The Author progressively presents a systematic inventory which facilitates the verification of editions as well as various possibilities for research. Following the first collection, produced from 1662 to 1667, composed of the De l'Imitation, the Biblia sacra, the Psalms and the New Testament attributed to Mons; he presents the five Port Royalist editions of the Psalms (1666, [1674], 1689: 2 editions, and 1691) which pose numerous questions as to : datation, attribution (author and I or publisher), approvals and those who gave them, licenses, complementary writings, works resulting from these editions, translation problems concerning the Hebrew and ¡ or use of the Vulgate, diverse editions, the text itself, short notes or «major explanations», as well as posterity. | ||
