Le second article consacré à la poétique théologique de Hugo offre, comme le premier, trois études complémentaires les unes des autres et des précédentes. Après le Dieu à l'image de l'homme, le Dieu cosmique représente le second volet de la théologie qui œuvre dans le plein du langage (images célestes, stellaires, lumineuses). Mais aussi importante est la théologie liminaire, usant d'un langage du seuil (limite, frontière, veille, mur et porte, ouvertures, ascensions et plongées): le deuxième chapitre lui est consacré. Le troisième et dernier aborde le problème difficile et plus controversé de la personnalité de Dieu chez Hugo: exposé de ses tendances panthéistes, sa façon d'exprimer le moi divin, son usage des pronoms personnels, les attributs moraux dont le plus important est l'Amour. A first article has been trying to elucidate the relations of poetry and theology, then to survey some stylistic patterns that have by themselves a theological import, as well as the self-correcting process by which the anthropomorphical, cosmic, apophatical expressions are rectified; the most striking anthropomorphisms have been distinguished: body's parts, actions, crafts. The second article, dealing with Hugo's theological poetics, is offering as the first one three studies that complete each others and the formers. After God in the image of man, the cosmic God represent the second aspect of a theology evolving on the language level (celestial, stellar, luminous figures). But also significant is the prefatory theology using threshold language (limit, frontier, eve, wall and door, openings, ascents and plunges): the second chapter is about it. The third and last chapter is treating of the difficult and disputed problem of God's personality in Hugo's work: account of his pantheistic trends, the way by which is expressed the divine ego, his use of personnel pronouns, the moral attributes of which the most important is love. | ||
