Il utilise les travaux de linguistes sur les unités discursives et se place à la croisée de plusieurs études menées dans les champs de la sémantique, de la poétique narrative et de l'épislémologie de l'écrilure. L'article met l'accent sur renonciation, sur l'acte producteur du discours. Par la construction d'un réseau articulé de concepts, il élabore un concept spécifique de « récit » ; l'objet de la science narrative est le procès du récit ou le récit comme procès. De ce point de vue, théorique et donc radical, on doit avancer que le récit « récite » et ne « raconte » rien. S'il fait quelque chose, il se-fait ce qu'il fait; s'il dit quelque chose, il se-dit ce qu'il dit. Il n'y a de récit qu'en tant que travail autonome de narration, que la lecture met en acte. An attempt at a theoretical action on the narrative, in the field of litterary analysis. The author does not aim at applying a method, not even a new one, but at changing the now classical problem of the conflict or complementary use of methods in order to give up the quest of the meaning and turn to an analysis of the criticism of signification. He uses the works of linguists about discursive units and places himself at the meeting point of several studies made in the fields of semasiology, narrative poetics and the epistemology of writing. The article insists on enunciation, the speech producing act. Through the construction of an articulated network of concepts it works out a specific concept of «narrative»; the subject-matter of narrative science is either narrative criticism or narrative itself as a criticism. From this theoretical, and therefore radical, point of view, it should be state that narrative «repeats», but «tells» nothing. If it does anything at all, it works out what it itself is; if it tells anything at all, it tells to itself what it tells. There is no narrative, except as an autonomous work of narrative, that reading actualizes. | ||
