En rapport avec la « fin de la métaphysique », il tente ensuite une description de la « crise » présente de la poésie en montrant les oppositions antinomiques qui la déchirent, puis en passant en revue les faits de notre culture qui la « réduisent ». Cependant l'assignation, par Platon et Aristote, de la poésie, de son faire et de son être, à l'intérieur de la question philosophique en général, et ainsi du rapport philosophie-poésie, est-elle une « réduction » sans appel? Une ressource plus archaïque peut être réouverte par une interrogation radicale — « être ou ne pas être » — sur le langage, sur la fonction symbolique, sur la fonction lyrique, sur la parodie, sur l'épopée... A multiform approach to the connections between poetry and philosophy, dominated by the present-day situation of poetry. Taking several examples from the French tradition, the author asserts that all poetry is metaphysic. In connection with the « end of metaphysics », he attempts to describe the present crisis of poetry by demonstrating the antinomic oppositions which rend it apart and by reviewing the facts of our culture which bring about its « reduction ». However, perhaps Plato and Aristotle, by their subordination of poetry in its existence and function to the general philosophical question, and so, of the relation between philosophy and poetry, have already brought about a « reduction » beyond appeal. A more primordial resource may be reopened through the radical questioning — « to be or not to be » — of language, of symbolic function, of lyrical function, or parody, of epic... | ||
