Analysis of data based upon a survey of 825 elementary school children in downstate Illinois suggests that civil religious orientations are learned during childhood, that they are held by a large proportion of elementary school children across both parochial and public school systems, and that these civil religious orientations are associated with the manner in which children relate to their political world. | ||
