The collection of creeds, initially included in Dagulf ’s manuscript — made as a gift for Pope Hadrian I — was widely copied and «corrected» in the Carolingian world. These emendations to the creed reveal the Carolingian desire to defend faith against new «heresies» like adoptianism or Greek pneumatology.\n4207 \n4207
