Cette conclusion s'impose après l'étude comparée de ce passage dans l'Évangile de Barnabé et dans des témoins déjà reconnus de la tradition du Diatessaron. Il faudrait ranger l'Évangile de Barnabé dans la branche des témoins occidentaux, plus précisément parmi les témoins en italien médiéval. Can the Gospel of Barnabas be regarded as a witness to a tradition going back to Tatian's Diatessaron? The present article gives a positive answer to this question, at least for the passage concerning Jesus' stay in Samaria, as we have it in John 4:442. That is the conclusion to be drawn from comparing the text of this passage in the Gospel of Barnabas and in recognized witnesses to the Diatessaron. The Gospel of Barnabas should be classed with the Western branch of witnesses, more precisely with those in Medieval Italian. | ||
