Nous croyons que ce détail important se lisait, non pas dans l'évangile de Matthieu, mais dans une forme archaïque de l'évangile de Jean qui, dans le manuscrit, aurait remplacé le texte matthéen primitif. In a Coptic text of Matthew's Gospel, recently published by Hans-Martin Schenke, Jesus carries out no violent action when he turns on the sellers installed in the Temple (Matt 21:12-13). The present article argues that this important detail, which in not in the Coptic Texts, comes from an archaic form of John's Gospel, which, in the manuscript, has replaced the original text of Matthew.
