Many of these problems spring from the presuppositions we bring to the text, assumptions about the relative worthiness of the Master and Steward, failure to see the parable in the light of Lukan teaching for rich people generally, and the mystery of how Jesus' sayings about trustworthiness in small things can possibly relate to the master's commendation of his steward's apparent roguishness. La parabole de l'intendant infidèle comporte des énigmes pour le chercheur comme pour le prédicateur. Ainsi Kloppenborg écrit : « Il n'y a guère de consensus sur n'importe quel point de cette parabole. » Bien de ces problèmes viennent de présupposés : postulats sur la fidélité relative du maître et de l'intendant; incapacité à voir la parabole à la lumière de l'enseignement lucanien pour les riches; et étrangeté de comment les dires de Jésus sur la fidélité dans les petites choses peuvent s'étendre à l'éloge que fait le maître de l'apparente malhonnêteté de son intendant. | ||
