Il s'agit d'une lettre répondant à Epiphane, le héros du texte présenté par Abel, pour lui demander d'authentiquer deux groupes de reliques. L'analyse interne et quelques témoignages de l'époque (Jérôme, sources liturgiques) permettent de restituer la chronologie des événements qui ont conduit à la construction d'une église sur la « tombe de Zacharie » de la vallée du Cédron, dans le troisième tiers du V e siècle. La découverte de ce texte nous amène à reconsidérer quelques opinions reçues. This Georgian Apocalypse, already related by Garitte (o.c. n. 4, p. 228) to an Apocalypse studied once by Abel (RB 1919), is here translated and explained for the first time. It is a letter answering to Epiphanius — the same as in the text presented by Abel — asking him to authenticate two groups of relics. Internal analysis and some testimonies from the time (Jerome, liturgical sources), allow us to restore the chronology of the events which led to the building of a church on the "tomb of Zachary", in the Cedron Valley, in the last third of the fifth Century. The discovery of this text leads us to reconsider some accepted opinions. | ||
