Par conséquent le discours paraît être une composition artificielle, dans laquelle Flavius Joséphe s'est docilement plié aux exigences de la propagande flavienne. The long eulogy of Roman power attributed to Herod Agrippa II in BJ II, 345-404, includes a detailed listing of the provinces and of the armed forces stationed in them. It is generally thought that this inventory draws its inspiration from a document of the Augustan period, although the description matches the state of the Empire at the time of the beginning of Vespasian's reign (ca 74). Therefore, the speech seems to be an artificial composition in which Josephus bows compliantly to the demands of Flavian propaganda. | ||
