AB Depuis peu, la question de la cohérence ou de l'incohérence de Paul dans ses épîtres se trouve ouvertement posée. Elle se pose d'abord au sujet de Romains 2, mais aussi de Romains 9-11. La contradiction entre Romains 9, 6 ss et 11, 25 ss paraît manifeste. En 1977, W. G. Kümmel invitait les exégètes à résoudre cette contradiction. L'Auteur de cet article se le proposait en alignant 11, 25ss sur 9, 6 ss. Récemment plusieurs auteurs ont tenté la démarche opposée. Ce sont ces essais qui font l'objet de cet article. Pour l'Auteur, ces nouvelles tentatives mènent à une impasse. Recently, the question of Paul's coherence in his epistles has been openly raised. The discussion is particularly concerned with the Law and Romans 2, but Romans 9-11 is also in question. The contradiction between Romans 9, 6ff and 11, 25ff seems obvious. In 1977, W. G. Kümmel invited exegetes to solve this problem. The author of this article attempted to do so in aligning 11, 25ff on 9, 6ff. Recently several authors have taken the opposite solution. These attempts are the subject of this study. For the author these new attempts lead to an impasse.
