The author of 1 Tim 1:4 thought that Matt 1-2 contained myth. 2. A primary positive sense of myth in modern history of religions research is as a story of origins. 3. The evangelist Matthew labels Matt 1-2 as a "book of origins." This is perhaps his answer to the question of literary genre. Dans une section difficile comme celle de Matthieu 1-2, une des premières tâches de l'exégète est surtout de déterminer le(s) genre(s) littéraire(s). Trois conclusions sont proposées : 1. L'auteur de 1 T 1:4 jugeait que Mt 1 et 2 contenait des éléments mythiques. 2. Une des premières composantes d'un mythe, pour la recherche moderne et histoire des religions, est l'histoire des origines. 3. L'évangéliste Matthieu a intitulé ses chapitres 1 et 2 « livre des origines » : ce titre peut être la réponse au problème du genre littéraire. |
