Ces passages et d'autres encore dans Isaïe 40-66 montrent plutôt que l'auteur était influencé par l'idée que Sion est une mère, une idée aisément appliquée ensuite à Dieu. Il y a d'autres passages bibliques et post-bibliques qui décrivent Sion, la mère, et dans certains d'entre eux la montrent avec son enfant Israël. When Isa 42:14, 45:10, 49:15, and 66:13 refer to God as a mother, the prophet is not deferring to foreign thought, or accommodating those women in Ancient Israel who felt left out in a male-dominated religion. Rather, those passages and others in Isa 40-66 show that the author was influenced by the idea that Zion is a mother, an idea that was easily transferred to God. There are other biblical and post-biblical passages that depict Mother Zion, some of which present her with her son Israel. | ||
