| Summary: | A scale was developed to validly and reliably measure an individual's attitude toward his church. The scale was administered to a selected sample of male Catholic and Protestant college students. Statistical analysis of data revealed that Catholic students, on the whole, have achieved and maintained a more favorable attitude toward their church than do Protestant students. However, the attitude of Catholic students is not related to present Catholic college enrollment or past Catholic school attendance. The conditions, both social and psychological which may contribute to this phenomena should be extensively studied. |
