Drawing on rich, original research from archives, most notably from the Vatican Secret Archive, he uses primarily quantitative methods, especially network analysis, to analyze Church decisions about what defines a true miracle performed by candidates for sainthood. The result is a strong contribution to our understanding of the relationship between organizations and social movements and the process of rationalization of religion in Europe. | ||
