Resumo: | In origin liturgy is instruction (Katechese). Where liturgy does not take fire in the hearts of young people the teaching of the faith has no foundation. Analysis of the teaching of confirmation candidates with regard to the experience of worship presents an alternative picture. Alongside attempts to understand worship as the cognitive expression of faith or the explanation of liturgical form and its constituent parts, a liturgical-meditation tendency is perceptible, a new style of worship spirituality based on individual experience, has been introduced. From an investigation of contemporary forms of worship, from the 'classical' liturgies of the official 'Agendas' to political forms, the author draws the following conclusions: the 'classical' liturgical form is dismissed by churchpeople as a barrier; thus 'Worship in New Forms' has developed. These threaten to explode in 'Sacropop without Sanctum'; here the 'new liturgy' has revealed the dimension of worship anew to young people. Thus it is valuable for young people to broaden their experience within the framework of the accepted tradition. |
