The following is the text of one of those lessons. In the opinion of Prof. Revuelta, the University for the Elderly has the glory of being the only bearer of the «living torch of the Humanities». If it is true that each person is a «suppositum rationale», an individual, singular and unrepeatable being, it is also true that this being is open to progressive perfection. In this sense, the experience of the University for the Elderly gives the person of its students a new sign of identity: that of Christian Humanism. | ||

El que sigue, es el texto de una de dichas lecciones. En opinión del Prof. Revuelta, a la Universidad de Mayores le cabe la gloria de ser la única portadora de la «antorcha humeante de las Humanidades». Si es cierto que cada persona es un «suppositum rationale», un ser individual, singular e irrepetible, es también cierto que este ser está abierto a la perfección progresiva. En este sentido, la experiencia de la Universidad de Mayores dona a la persona de sus alumnos un nuevo signo de identidad: el del Humanismo cristiano. | ||
