| Résumé: | The work at hand has two principal objetives. The profession of Social Work —in previous times and today— is presented briefly, by pointing out the principal functions and areas of activity,as well as the academic training of professionals. The importance of its opportune nature in today's society, which evidencesdiverse difficulties and deficiencies,is explained and the situation is briefly examined. Finally, an overview, with information on European projects concerning university studies, contained in the «Bologna Process» is offered,thus, highlighting that university study plans for the training of social workers have been totally adapted to the «humanitarian» nature of the reforms containedin the plans. El presente trabajo se propone dos objetivos principales. De forma brevese presenta la profesión de Trabajo Social —antigua y nueva— señalando sus principales funciones y ámbitos de actuación, además de la preparación académica de los profesionales. Se indica la importancia de su idoneidad en la sociedad presente, que cuenta con múltiples dificultades y carencias, situación brevemente comentada. Por fin se ofrece una información somera de los proyectos europeos sobre los estudios universitarios, contenidos en el «Proceso Bolonia».Destacando que los planes de estudios universitarios para la formación de los trabajadores sociales están plenamente adecuados al carácter «humanitario» de las reformas que se proponen en ellos. |
