| Resumo: | Concepción Arenal is one of the most important figures of the social Spanish Catholicism of the late 19th century and the beginning of the 20.th century. There are not many studies about her sincere Catholicism. The Jesuit Julio Alarcón, contemporary with her, tried to fill up this gap with two books about her. But he writes them from his fundamentalist ideology. Therefore, we present the personality and the mentality of this author to make it possible to analyze and to value his studies about her. Concepción Arenal es una de las figuras más importantes del catolicismo social español de finales del siglo XIX y comienzos del XX. No abundan los estudios sobre su sincero catolicismo. El jesuita Julio Alarcón, contemporáneo suyo, quiso llenar este vacío con dos libros sobre ella. Pero los escribe desde su ideología integrista. Por ello, presentamos la personalidad y la mentalidad de este autor para poder analizar y valora sus estudios sobre Concepción Arenal. |
