The means tried in the Weimar Republic ended up by relegating apologetics to the field of diacony, thus producing problematic results. [Little changed either in the Weimar Republic; not even in the field of diacony (Innere Mission).] 1945 as a new beginning also prevented any real breakthough before the foundation of the Evangelische Zentralstelle für Weltanschauungsfragen (EZW, 1960). Its origins and interest in ecclesiological questions, especially its 'dual treatment' of religious minorities, given the latter's importance for current church-state relations, are given special emphasis here. | ||
