| Summary: | In 1996 the Pontifical Council for the Family announced the norms that the different Episcopal Conferences should follow to regulate the process of preparation for the sacrament of marriage. In 2003, the Spanish Episcopal Conference devoted one of the chapters in the Directory of the Pastoral Care of the Family to discuss this issue. This work analyses how the suggestions of the Pontifical Council’s document have been interpreted in Spain and their relation with other similar documents, such as Benedict XVI’s speech to the Tribunal of Roman Rota in January 2011. En 1996 el Pontificio Consejo para la Familia daba a conocer unas normas a tener en cuenta por las Conferencias episcopales que debían confeccionar los directorios que regulasen la preparación del matrimonio. En 2003 la Conferencia Episcopal Española dedicaba uno de los capítulos de su Directorio de Pastoral Familiar a contemplar este tema. El trabajo intenta señalar los matices con los que en España se recogen las sugerencias del documento del Pontificio Consejo y comentar en qué sentido pueden entenderse, en el contexto de otros documentos y especialmente del discurso de Benedicto XVI a la Rota Romana en enero de 2011. |
