| Summary: | As a significant member of the Spanish Episcopate, which undertook the task of implementing the Second Vatican Council in Spain, the author reviews the history of Spanish Catholic Church and the documents issued by the Bishops Conference during these last decades; and shows the lights and the shadows of that process. Finally, some new tasks are proposed to the Catholic Church in Spain, both regarding its inner life and its relationship to Spanish Society. Como miembro destacado del episcopado que llevó cabo la tarea de aplicar el Concilio Vaticano Segundo en España, el autor hace un recorrido por la historia de la Iglesia española en estas décadas; repasa los principales documentos emanados de la Conferencia Episcopal; resume las luces y las sombras de este proceso, y concluye sugiriendo las nuevas tareas que aún aguardan a la Iglesia española, tanto hacia dentro como en su relación con la sociedad. |
