Joseph though is only able to fulfil part of the mission, because his brothers prevent him from bringing his news back to his father.A thorough consideration of the meaning and value of this obstruction in the story of Gn 37-50 and its understanding within the framework of the providential presence and action of God in these chapters allows a drawing of the connections that are present in the Joseph Narrative between providence, mercy and the protectionof the assaulted. | ||

Partiendo de las afirmaciones y propuestas de muchos de ellos, el presente artículo centra su interés en un aspecto de dicha historia: el envío de Jacob a José en busca de sus hermanos, para que se interese por su situación y por su vida y para que le transmita una palabra sobre ambas. Sin embargo, José puede realizar sólo una parte de dicho envío, pues sus hermanos impiden que le haga llegar a su padre noticias suyas.Una detallada consideración del sentido y el valor de dicho impedimento en el relato de Gn 37-50 y su comprensión en el marco de la presencia y actuación providente en esos capítulos permiten trazar las conexiones que presenta la historia de José entre providencia, misericordia y protección del agredido. | ||
