This essays examines two poetic pieces in Acts 1:15-26, one an assemblage of three poetic lines from two psalms (Pss 69:26ab; 109:8b) and the other a prayer imitating these lines, both coming to grips with the tragic loss of Judas, who chose his own place over Jesus' place, the place of service.
