He is keenly alive to all that has to do with the welfare of his own country; he is proud of his culture, and believes that the Latin race has a distinct contribution to make to the world. But he is not blinded to racial or national shortcomings, and is willing to co-operate heartily with anyone who has the good of his people at heart and who is ready to labor for human betterment in the spirit of Christ and as a friend of man. | ||
