It is the thesis of this article that Christian therapists also need to develop intra-cultural reflection patterns that will help anchor their work with all populations in the broad cultural context more accurately. A Christological example of cultural reflection is used to explore the meaning of culture and national expression of it, the interactive relationship between social science and culture, the determinative relationship between the two, and the distinction between culture and revelation. The article concludes with an enumeration of some of the values derived from informed intra-cultural reflection for the psychotherapist. | ||
