Summary: | Pope Francis through his Apo. Letter "Communis vita" brought some noteworthy changes for certain norms of the Code of Canon Law of the Latin Church. Strictly speaking 'Communis Vita' given to the Latin Church, has created at present, a lacuna in CCEO for handling the difficult cases of the finally professed religious, who are unauthorizedly and continuously absent for more than one year from religious communities. The religious superiors of monasteries, orders and congregations of the Oriental Churches need a parallel legal provision in CCEO as it is given in Communis Vita. |
