Ogni samaritano che vede, prova compassione, si fa prossimo, dona la sua presenza e la sua cura, è trasparenza della compassione di Dio. Una chiesa samaritana cura le ferite e si prende cura di chi soffre, ma si impegna contemporaneamente per la giustizia. Il fuoco d'attenzione della teodicea pastorale non è sul perché il male esiste ma su come sia possibile costruire comunità sananti che si prendano cura di chi soffre, comunità accoglienti e compassionevoli. La compassione divina, e la relazione d'amore che la esprime, è fondamento e modello della compassione pastorale, criterio teologico cui deve ispirarsi il multiforme agire ecclesiale. | ||
| 520 | |a There is a particular interest today in the theme of compassion, both from a theological perspective and from the perspective of the humanities and pas-toral care. It is a virtue which, in the Christian view, implies a grace from God, but also a commitment on our part, both on the individual level and on the level of community. Every Samaritan who sees, feels compassion, becomes a neighbour, gives his presence and care, allows God's compassion to shine forth. A Samar-itan church heals wounds and cares for those who suffer, but at the same time is committed to justice. The focus of pastoral theodicy is not on why evil exists but on how it is possible to build healing communities that care for those who suffer, communities that are welcoming and compassionate. Divine compassion, and the loving relationship that expresses it, is the foundation and model of pastoral compassion, the theological criterion that must inspire the multifaceted action of the Church. | ||
