In 2 Corinthians the following three stages are deepened: a) The Treasure in clay vessels; b) The trials in adversity; c) A Thorn given to the flesh. The unitary rereading of the epistolary texts in the light of the ecclesial context of Corinth highlights the importance of the combination of weakness (astheneia) and strength (dynamis). It represents a peculiar aspect of Paul’s Christological conception, on which the foundation of ecclesial life and of the witnessing practice of believers depends. | ||

La relectura unitaria de los textos epistolares a la luz del contexto eclesial de Corinto señala la importancia del binomio debilidad-fuerza (astheneia-dynamis). Eso representa un aspecto peculiar de la concepción cristológica de Pablo, de la que depende el fundamento de la vida eclesial y de la praxis testimonial de los creyentes. | ||
