| 520 | |a L’étude des assemblages lithiques constitués lors des fouilles de l’École biblique sur le site de Tell el-Fâr‘ah Nord (1946-1960) a mis en lumière la présence de grands racloirs tabulaires en silex portant, sur leur surface corticale, des marques gravées. Le corpus, riche de neuf artefacts, provient pour l’essentiel des niveaux du BA Ib final/BA II (Ancien Bronze 1 à 3, sensu de Vaux) du Chantier II nord. Après en avoir dressé le catalogue raisonné, l’article se propose de livrer une étude technologique approfondie de ces outils, depuis le débitage de leurs supports et leur conformation par la retouche jusqu’à leur abandon, en passant par leur incision, leur utilisation et leur raffûtage. La restitution de la trajectoire sociale des objets nous autorisera, dans une seconde étape, à formuler un certain nombre de constats relatifs à leur statut et leur transformation. In fine, la restitution fine de leur contexte de découverte ouvrira sur de nouvelles hypothèses relatives à leur fonction, au cours d’un épisode historique particulier qui marque la transition entre le IVe et le IIIe millénaire.Ancien Bronze 1 3 sensu The study of the chipped stone artefacts collected during the excavations of Tell el-Fâr‘ah North (1946-1960) by the French Biblical and Archaeological School of Jerusalem highlights the presence of large tabular flint scrapers bearing engraved marks on their cortex. This corpus, comprising nine objects, comes mainly from the levels of the Final EBA Ib/EBA II ( to de Vaux) of the Area II North. After drawing up the annotated catalogue, this article proposes to report the in depth technological study of these tools, from debitage of their flint blanks and their modification by retouch to their abandonment, including their incision, their use and their sharpening. The restitution of the social trajectory of these objects will allow us, at a second stage, to formulate a number of observations relating to their status and their transformation. Ultimately, the fine restitution of their discovery context will open up new hypotheses relating to their function, during a particular historical episode in the transition between the 4th and 3rd millennia BC. | ||
