O bom estado da fonte permite fazer uma análise pormenorizada do inventário e a perceção do tipo de obras e de leituras que eram permitidas nessas casas conventuais, embora desconhecendo a frequência com que eram lidas. Deste modo, julgamos útil levá‑la ao conhecimento dos interessados, pois permite identificar as obras mais lidas da época, os idiomas em que foram escritas e a sua distribuição cronológica. | ||
| 520 | |a This work intends to inform about the process of inventory of the library of S. Bento de Avis convent, made in the process of the extinction of religious and monastic orders, as a consequence of the civil war from 1832‑1834 and the victory of the liberal forces. Good condition of the source allows a detailed analysis of the inventory and the perception of the type of works and readings that were authorized in these monastic houses, even being unaware of the frequency they were read. However, we think it is useful, because it allows taking knowledge of the most read works of the time, their original language and chronological distribution. | ||
