His writings were carried to England, and he thereby became a significant influence in the Reformation there as well as in his homeland. Since the Lutheran phase of the Reformation in Scotland has been overshadowed by the work of Knox and other Calvinists, this article attempts to portray the vital contributions of Scotland's earliest Protestant.
