A wide variety of issues concerning biblical accents and the masoretic text are found in this corpus: vocalization of certain words; defective and plene spellings; qere/ketiv; the divine name; Yemenite Torah scrolls; open and closed parashas; inverted nun; and truncated waw. This study indicates a difference in the attitude to accents and Masora between Sephardic and Ashkenazic scholars. The Sephardic rabbis reveal an attitude of greater concern for these issues. In the corpus are also found metaphors, puns and other expressions forged out of masoretic terms and names of accents.
