Sumario:This paper seeks to provide an understanding of the conditions which lead to successful implementation of progressive organizational practices. The nature of organizational practices and values is examined in an effort to understand this process. A model is developed which highlights the importance of a fit between management values, organizational beliefs, and practices. The article concludes with suggestions for practical use of the model.
