Resumo:No man is doing more stimulating work for preachers than President Davis. His little book on The Gospel in the Light of the Great War, which in its original form appeared in the Biblical World, has been given a most cordial reception. It is full of material and suggestions for real preaching. That is the sort of preaching Dr. Davis wants. And that is the sort of preaching the present articles will help to make possible. There is as much reason why a preacher should plan his work in the pulpit as there is that a salesman should plan his selling trips. Indeed, it is not very difficult to think of preaching as a form of salesmanship. Men are selling the gospel. It is worth while being trained for that sort of business for the Lord.
