Colors were/are very important symbols throughout the ages. Like other forms of religious symbolism, the symbolism of color emerges from the immediate material experience of human beings. Color phenomenon was therefore an important feature among the primitives. The primitive tribes decorated themselves with colors for visual effect. They used the colors for protection themselves from the fears and vice versa to gain consent of gods.
