The research was carried out with 400 women who were the primary relatives of patients treated within oncology units. Participants completed an information form, the information support needs questionnaire and the fatalism tendency scale. There was found to be a high, negative and weak significant relationship between the mean of needs for information-support and the mean of fatalism tendency scale (r = − 343; p < .001) and high, negative and average significant relationship with fulfilling their needs. There was also a negative relationship between the importance for information-support needs, fulfilling their needs and fatalism tendency in women who have relatives with breast cancer. | ||
