Jusqu’où aller, toutefois, dans cette remise en cause sans menacer la cohérence de la foi chrétienne? Cet article explore cette question en interrogeant tour à tour l’oeuvre de deux auteurs contemporains: Jürgen Moltmann et Dumitru Stăniloae. La mise en regard des thèses des deux auteurs fait apparaître que refuser à l’homme une place singulière et centrale au sein de la Création interroge la nécessité des médiations christologique et ecclésiale. Ne s’agit-il pas plutôt de repenser l’anthropocentrisme de la tradition chrétienne en usant précisément du concept de médiation? The theological thinking aroused by the ecological crisis often considers the anthropocentrism of Christian tradition as the main root of a predatory relationship to Creation. But how far are we allowed to bring anthropocentrism into question without threatening the coherence of Christian faith? To address this issue, our paper analyzes the thought of two contemporary theologians: Jürgen Moltmann and Dumitru Stăniloae. The comparison between their respective theses reveals that denying the central and singular place of human beings in Creation challenges the necessity of Church and Christ’s mediations. A better approach could be to understand the anthropocentrism of Christian tradition precisely in the light of the concept of mediation. | ||
