Paolo è costretto a difendersi e a giustificare il suo comportamento a causa delle numerose accuse che gli vengono mosse dagli avversari e, nello stesso tempo, cerca di recuperare autorevolezza e credibilità presso i corinzi, avend a cuore la loro edificazione. A differenza dei suoi oppositori, i quali seducono '' disperdono, l'Apostolo annuncia gratuitamente il vangelo, confidando soltant nella grazia del Signore, origine della sua forza. | ||

Paul is constrained to defend himself and justify his behaviour on account of the numerous accusations which have been stirred up by his opponents and, at the same time, seeks to recover his authority and credibility with the Corinthians, with their edification at heart. By contrast with his opponents, who seduce and scatter his flock, the Apostle proclaims the Gospel free of charge, trusting only in the grace of the Lord which is the source of his power. | ||
